Privacy policy.
The short version: the game keeps your progress on your iPhone and we never see it. Google shows the ads, Apple takes the payments, and Game Center holds the boards.

Who we are
Marshmallow Diner (“the game”) is made by UPLATEGARAGE, an independent iOS studio run by one person in Australia — a sole trader, ABN 84 940 108 904. In this policy “we” means UPLATEGARAGE.
Questions about privacy go to info@uplategarage.com.au. A real person reads it.
What we collect
Nothing. The game has no account, no sign-up, no email field, no contact form and no server of ours. We don’t receive your progress, your scores, your purchases, or anything that identifies you, and there are no analytics in the game.
The game does use three outside services — Google for ads, RevenueCat and Apple for purchases, and Apple’s Game Center for leaderboards. What each of them gets is below, service by service.
What stays on your iPhone
The game saves its own data on your iPhone: your settings, best scores, highest level, daily streak, number of runs, flavours, sprinkles, and a snapshot of a run in progress so a closed app can pick up where you left off. Scores waiting to reach Game Center wait here too.
- None of it is sent to us.
- It is part of your iPhone’s own backups, under your backup settings, like any app’s data.
- This version does not sync your progress through iCloud or anywhere else.
- Settings › Account › Reset progress clears it (your sound settings stay). Deleting the app removes all of it.
Ads — Google AdMob
The free game shows ads from Google AdMob in two places: the placemat, which starts every third run from your fourth, and the jukebox, which plays only when you choose it. No ad ever shows while the marshmallow is moving.
- Every ad request asks for a non-personalised ad — one not based on what you do in other apps or on other sites.
- The game never asks to track you. There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt, so Google does not get your iPhone’s advertising identifier.
- To show an ad at all, Google still processes some information: your IP address (which gives an approximate location), the kind of device and its operating system, the app, and how you interact with the ad. Google uses it to serve and count ads, to limit how often you see the same one, and to fight fraud, under its own policies: how Google uses information from apps that use its services ↗ and the Google Privacy Policy ↗.
- Where the law requires consent — the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland among others — Google’s consent form asks you first. It appears after your third run, on the title screen, never during play. You can refuse and keep playing; you may then see limited ads. The form lists each purpose and what Google relies on for it.
- Change your answer at any time in Settings › Account › Ad privacy, which appears wherever Google requires it.
- Remove Ads turns all of this off. Once you own it, the game doesn’t start Google’s ad software or ask for an ad again.
Purchases — Apple and RevenueCat
Remove Ads is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple takes the payment; we never see your card, your name or your Apple ID.
We use RevenueCat to check what you’ve bought and to restore it. The game sends RevenueCat the App Store’s record of your purchases under a random identifier RevenueCat makes for the app — never your name, email or Apple ID — along with basic details such as the iPhone’s operating system, the app’s version and your country, and, like any internet request, your IP address. RevenueCat’s policy: revenuecat.com/privacy ↗. Apple’s: apple.com/legal/privacy ↗.
Leaderboards — Game Center
If you’re signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, the game sends your best scores to four Apple leaderboards — endless, your rules, daily and revived — where other players may see them beside your Game Center name.
- The game never asks you to sign in by itself. You can sign in from Settings › Account or the board screen, or in your iPhone’s Settings.
- Signed out, your best scores wait on your iPhone and are sent the next time you sign in. A waiting daily score is only sent on its own day.
- The game reads nothing back from Game Center — not your name, not your friends.
- Apple runs Game Center under the Apple Privacy Policy ↗. Sign out, or change who can see you, in your iPhone’s Settings › Game Center.
Crash reports from Apple
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple gives us crash reports and statistics about the app. They don’t identify you to us. Turn it off there at any time.
Children
Marshmallow Diner is rated 4+ and made for a general audience; it is not in the App Store’s Kids category. It has no chat, nothing players can post, and no way to send anything to us. Every ad is non-personalised, for every player. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Parents can turn off in-app purchases, or ask for approval first with Ask to Buy, and manage Game Center in Screen Time on the child’s iPhone.
This website
marshmallowdiner.com sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from anyone else — no fonts, no scripts, no trackers. The sounds on the home page are made in your browser and go nowhere. Like any website, its host may keep ordinary server logs — your IP address, the page asked for, the time, and your browser’s name — to run and protect the site.
Where it goes, and for how long
Google, RevenueCat and Apple may process what is described here in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards, and keep it for as long as their own policies say. We keep nothing, so there is nothing of ours to delete. What’s on your iPhone lasts until you reset it or delete the app.
Your choices
- Ads: refuse or change consent in Settings › Account › Ad privacy, where offered — or buy Remove Ads.
- Leaderboards: don’t sign in to Game Center, or sign out, in your iPhone’s Settings.
- Your saved game: Settings › Account › Reset progress, or delete the app.
- Questions or requests: write to info@uplategarage.com.au. We hold no personal information about you, and we’ll say so plainly and point you to the service that does.
- Complaints: if we can’t resolve something, you can complain to the privacy regulator where you live — in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ↗.
Changes
If the game starts doing anything new with information — a new service, or syncing your progress through iCloud — this policy changes before that version ships, and the date at the top changes with it.
